The History of the Project
Since begin of 2002 several concepts and technologies for generative software development
were developed in the project GO-GEN (German Website).
One of these technologies is based on the OMG standard of Model Driven Architecture (MDA) and
combines MDA's efficiency improvements with the approach of n-tier component architectures for enterprise software.
During the project there has been the need to use a capable and open application framework, thus
FreeGee has been initiated. FreeGee is an integrated bundle of free Open Source software modules for
the efficient development and reliable operation of enterprise application software.
GO-GEN itself is a project of the Berlin software-architect
Markus Hillebrand
in association with the
International Technology Holding Corporation. ITH is looking for new approaches
in software engineering and is interested in the promising
concepts of free Open Source software.

Some Words About the Contributors
Last but not least we want to thank all these thousands of developers, the countless testers, editors, administrators, designers, and other volunteers, who contributed to the Open Source modules, covered by this FreeGee distribution. We are pleased to see, how the great benefits of each module exponentiate by bundling with the exceeding achievements of the other's dedication. Keep this good work going on.
Many thanks.
